In 2009, ENGAGE welcomed a new partner – the Department of Motion Picture, Television and Production Design at Aalto University

The School of Art and Design at Aalto University has been a leader in art and design education for over 130 years. It offers doctorate, masters and bachelor degrees in a wide range of disciplines:  fine art, design, new media, art education, visual culture, motion picture and production design.

The Department of Motion Picture, Television and Production Design educates visionary artists and operators to meet the future needs of the film production and audiovisual industry. The BA and MA in Film and Television consist of seven areas of specialisation: Directing, Screenwriting, Directing, Cinematography, Sound Design, Editing and Documentary Filmmaking. The century-long traditions of each specialisation form a basis for the development of art, practice and theory in each area.
